The British Skeet Shooting Association (BSSA) was originally formed in 1985, to represent the interests of UK members of the NSSA. The BSSA was reformed with a committee in August 2001. It had previously been run by Charlie and Donya Lucas.
It is now shot at 7 grounds in the UK with membership standing at around 180.
Organized in 1946, the National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) was formed as the official governing body for this remarkable sport. As a non-profit organization, the NSSA is owned and operated by and for its members. It is the largest organization of its kind in the United States, with over 2 million shooters participating in skeet shooting activities each year at one of our more than 1,000 affiliated shooting facilities.
Individual membership of the BSSA is extended to all UK residents, including military personnel on permanent assignment in the UK, who are members of the NSSA in good standing.
